Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar)

A classic yoga sequence, Sun Salutations are great for warming up your body. Here’s a simple flow:

  • Start standing with your feet together and arms by your sides (Tadasana).
  • Inhale, lift your arms overhead.
  • Exhale, fold forward, bringing your hands to the mat.
  • Inhale, step or jump back into a plank position.
  • Exhale, lower down to the mat, coming into Chaturanga.
  • Inhale, lift into Upward-Facing Dog or Cobra Pose.
  • Exhale, push back to Downward-Facing Dog.
  • Hold for a few breaths, then step forward to your hands and slowly rise to stand again.
